$1,000,000 problem :: Music :: Riemann's Orchestra

Riemann’s first discovery: Is the “sound” of the primes “music” or “noise”? In other words, are the frequencies isolated or is there a continuous range of frequencies needed to recover the graph of primes?

The frequencies correspond to the North-South coordinate. If the sound of the primes is noise then there must be whole rivers of points at sea-level. Riemann could prove this was not the case. A point at sea-level must be isolated. The primes have music hidden in them.

Here is what the primes actually sound like if you play all these harmonics together. CLICK “A post-modern music but thanks to Riemann’s work we can say about it what Bernard Shaw said about the music of Wagner: this music is better than it sounds” Sir Michael Berry.
